Safety Tip: Why You Should Check Your Gear Before Diving
A complete buddy check before entering the water prevents surprises and improves communication.
Safety starts before you jump in. Checking your gear calmly, confirming your air supply and agreeing on signals with your buddy are simple habits that make a real difference.
At Scuba & Chill we recommend a full buddy check: regulator, BCD, weights, tank, mask, fins and signaling accessories.
It is also important to agree on signals, maximum depth, bottom time and return procedures. A relaxed dive is built through preparation and communication.
